Join group classes for a communal experience or book a private session for personalized training and a traditional tea ceremony. Led by certified instructors, this 1,500-year-old tradition offers clarity, balance, and inner strength.

About Seonmudo
Seonmudo (선무도) is a living Buddhist martial art with roots stretching back 1,500 years. Originally transmitted through Korea's mountain monasteries as both a health regimen for monks and a discipline for warrior monks, Seonmudo integrates the body and mind into a single practice.

Unlike modern fitness trends, Seonmudo is rooted in the philosophy of Korean Buddhism. Every movement — from the first bow to the final meditation — is an expression of the Dharma: the cultivation of clarity, balance, and inner strength.

Seoul Seonmudo Center (선무도 서울본원) in Jongno-gu is the only place in Seoul where you can experience authentic Seonmudo under the guidance of certified instructors affiliated with Golgulsa Temple and the World Seonmudo Federation.
